Crackdown On Exam Malpractices: Centre Implements Tough New Law With Heavy Fines, Jail Terms

The law includes provisions for a maximum jail term of 10 years and a fine of up to Rs 1 crore for violators. The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, received presidential assent nearly four months ago.
